It was in the 1920s that the original idea for a bagless device was born. John W. Newcombe invented a "separator," a device designed to separate dust and particles from the atmosphere. Leslie H. Green recognized the true potential of this invention and collaborated with Newcombe in developing the "Newcombe bagless" device.\n\n\nIn 1929, Green formed a new company called "Rexair," meaning "King of the Air." JV Sanders, better known as "Sandy," attended a Rexair demonstration and was so enthusiastic that he immediately moved to Detroit, Michigan, determined to become the company's "best salesman ever.".\n\n\nJV Sanders proved to be the best salesman and much more.
